Writing Rules

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to the International Journal of Progression and Development in Education (IJPADE) should prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the IJPADE Manuscript Template and the guidelines below.

IJPADE Manuscript Template

IJPADE does not impose any page or word limits on submitted manuscripts.

Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Title: 12 pt
  • Abstract: 9 pt
  • Main Text: 11 pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Paragraph Indentation: None

Title

The title should clearly reflect the content of the study. Except for conjunctions and prepositions, each major word should begin with a capital letter.

Abstract

The abstract should briefly present the purpose, methodology, main findings, and significance of the study.

  • Length: 150–250 words
  • Line spacing: Single

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that best represent the content of the manuscript.

Main Sections

The manuscript should be organized according to the nature of the study. The following structure is recommended for empirical research articles:

  • Introduction
  • Method
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Recommendations (optional)

Depending on the nature of the study, the Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendations sections may be combined.

References

References and in-text citations must be prepared in accordance with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all references.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be prepared in accordance with the APA Publication Manual (7th Edition).

Appendices

Appendices should appear after the References section.

Each appendix should be numbered consecutively (Appendix 1, Appendix 2, etc.) and include an appropriate title.

Ethical Statement

Authors must include an ethical statement indicating that the study was conducted in accordance with relevant ethical principles.

Author Contributions

Authors must clearly state the contribution of each author to the study.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any financial, personal, institutional, or other conflicts of interest. If no conflict of interest exists, authors should state:

The authors declare no conflict of interest.

Ethical Approval

Where applicable, authors must provide the name of the ethics committee, approval number, and approval date. If ethical approval was not required, this should also be stated.

Funding

Authors should disclose all sources of financial support. If no external funding was received, authors should state:

This research received no external funding.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Authors who use generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and similar AI tools) during the preparation of their manuscripts for purposes such as language editing, translation, grammar correction, improving readability, summarization, or coding assistance must disclose this use in the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scientific content of the submitted work.

Acknowledgements (Optional)

Authors may acknowledge individuals or institutions that contributed to the study but do not meet the criteria for authorship.
